Introducing: System Changers Circle
Join the first curated cohort of talented changemakers starting in February
Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
I hope you had a great holiday season?
I’m writing today with a big update. In February I’ll be kicking off the first cohort of System Changers Circle, an intimate, private group of mission-driven leaders shaping a better future. A space for changemakers like you to pause, reconnect and resource yourselves whilst you lead change.
This idea has been forming for a long time, but it really crystallised at the end of last year when I spoke with 35 changemakers about their lived experience of this work. What they described in the research was a powerful mix of meaning, pride and joy, alongside real exhaustion, doubt and emotional weight.
The insight that stood out above the rest: changemaking can be overwhelming if you try to carry it all alone; you can’t change broken systems on your own.
If you’re really feeling the weight of this work and looking for some extra support this year, this is for you. I’m so excited about the group of people that’s already coming together. Please read on to learn more, and if something inside you says “I need this”, please apply via the link below.
With love and solidarity,
Gen
The weight you’re carrying
You’ve dedicated yourself to work that matters, but lately it’s been a lot. Some days you’re full of hope, energy and momentum. Other days, it feels really heavy. You care deeply, and it shows up in your body, your relationships and your capacity to create change.
I’ve spent years coaching changemakers like you who are giving everything they’ve got to fix broken systems, often at great personal cost.
Perhaps you’ll recognise yourself in their words:
“I swing from wild optimism to hopelessness, from a sense of power to powerlessness. The work can affect sleep, finance, physical and mental health and relationships.”
“I’m not doing important work as well as I’d like to because I’m spread too thin. When I’m tired I’m more stressed with my family and that makes me feel guilty, the most energy-draining feeling of all.”
“In my daily life, on the school run or when I’m out with friends, I feel a heaviness or separation like I’m an alien. I don’t have a job, it’s a calling. It breaks me down and builds me up all the time.”
“Everyone comes to me. But where do I go?”
System Changers Circle
A carefully curated group of smart and dedicated changemakers who gather to support each other and their changemaking. This is a space where:
You don’t have to explain why the work matters.
Your care is recognised as strength.
Your emotional experience of leading change is validated and understood.
You can be completely yourself, not just the strong part of you holding everything together.
Rest assured that this is not just another online community. This is a nourishing space designed to protect your energy, honour your needs and gently expand your capacity.
If you’re feeling stretched thin, you belong here. This space is designed to reduce overwhelm, not add to it.
This isn’t a new project to manage, or a course to complete. I’m inviting you to a warm, high-trust and supportive space where you can finally put that weight down, get perspective and reclaim the energy that fueled your mission in the first place.
The practicalities
System Changers Circle is comprised of restorative monthly sessions and light support and connection in between. We’re starting in February with just 10 handpicked participants, creating the conditions for intimacy, trust and care.
Each month, we’ll gather for thoughtfully facilitated 90-minute conversations guided by me that help you:
Slow down, zoom out and gently make sense of what’s emerging in your work and the wider world.
Reflect more deeply on your changemaking alongside peers who truly understand the weight and wonder of this work.
Reconnect with your purpose, vitality and inner steadiness, and nurture the courage needed for what’s next.
Exchange ideas, insights and resources. Breathe life into your bold ideas for change and explore what wants to unfold next.
You’ll remain held and accompanied between sessions, and invited to contribute in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable for you.
Between gatherings, a private WhatsApp group will provide steady, light-touch connection, held with care and clear boundaries.
We’ll check in, share reflections and offer resources that the group might find helpful.
This is not another noisy Whatsapp group that pulls your attention. It will be carefully moderated and there for you when you need it, on your terms.
A carefully curated founding circle of 10 changemakers:
This circle brings together experienced changemakers. Founders and senior leaders who pair entrepreneurial instinct with lived experience in navigating complex systems.
United by values of creativity, connection, kindness, service and courage, and by a desire to lead in ways that honour both impact and wellbeing.
We’ll maintain full confidentiality, and aim to create a psychologically safe environment together, so you can speak freely, explore honestly and be fully yourself.
What if your next breakthrough came not from pushing yourself harder, but from being seen, held and nurtured in community?

Transform your approach to leading change
You care deeply, and that’s not a flaw. It’s what makes you who you are, someone who feels the weight of the world and still shows up to make it better.
But caring deeply can also be exhausting. When you’re constantly tending to the needs of others or the systems you’re trying to change, it’s easy to lose touch with your own needs, your joy, your sense of enoughness. You start losing your spark, neglecting your creativity, and dulling your spirit. This doesn’t just hurt you, it quietly erodes the impact of your changemaking.
Your work matters, but it shouldn’t cost you your wellbeing, relationships, spirit or capacity to contribute.
You deserve to be supported with the same depth and dignity you extend to others and the world at large. You don’t have to carry this work alone.
What if sharing the weight and wonder of this work with fellow travellers could reconnect you with the energised visionary and creator within you?
Ready to join us?
System Changers Circle begins in February. If you’ve read this far, something in you is already reaching toward it. You’re looking for steadiness, companionship, and a way of leading that doesn’t cost you so much.
Perhaps you’ve been holding more than you let others see. Perhaps you’re tired of being the one who stays strong, who keeps hope alive, who quietly absorbs the emotional labour of change. Maybe you’re longing for a space where you don’t have to manage everything, where you can put the armour down and remember the part of you that is still imaginative, courageous and very much alive.
This circle is an invitation to be supported at the depth you support others, to feel less alone, more resourced, and more connected to the leader you know you can be when you’re not running on empty.
It would be a privilege to support you!
